Think about these 7 messages that we often hear from leaders – then think about which type of message you constantly send as a leader.  The way we communicate as a leader – and these messages – shape the level of success our teams can achieve.

1.Do it.
2.Do it then tell me what you did.
3.Tell me what you are going to do and then do it.
4.Tell me what you want to do and wait for a decision.
5.Don’t do anything without my approval.
6.Don’t do anything until I tell you. 
7.Do nothing.
